The extreme popularity of this game has created a great demand for a free tutorial on how to draw each life.

To fulfill your desires, we have created a step-by-step tutorial on how to draw Gacha Life, summarized in 9 quick and easy steps.

The fun thing about this tutorial is that, similar to the actual video game; you can even make the character look like an animated version of you by drawing your distinctive physical features! It’s like playing Gacha Life but on a piece of paper!

How to Draw Gacha Life

Step 1

Start by drawing a square shape with curved edges to form your character’s head. Next, draw a half circle attached to the right side of the head to create the ear.

Because the figure is pointing slightly to the side, only one ear is visible.

Make sure the head is drawn just above the center of the paper. This ensures that there is enough space for your character’s entire body.

Step 2

Draw two short curved lines below the head with a small space between them to form your character’s neck. Next, proceed to draw the shirt that your character is wearing.

Step 3

Draw a vertical line on the left side under the shirt. Then draw a shorter vertical line parallel to it.

Next, draw a horizontal line below it and connect the two endpoints of the vertical lines. This creates the left pant leg your character is wearing.

Step 4

Repeat the previous step on the opposite side to complete the pants. At this point, your character should be fully dressed, missing a pair of shoes to match the outfit!

We kept the outfit simple, as you can see from the pictures. However, feel free to design any clothes you like! After all, it’s your Gacha Life character!

Step 5

Draw a curved shape at the bottom of each leg to create the shoes. As you can see in the figure, both feet point to the left because the character is facing in that direction. Note this to avoid inaccuracies!

Similar to your character’s clothing, you can customize the shoes your character wears.

Step 6

Draw a narrow, oblong shape under the sleeve of each shirt to create both of the character’s arms.

Remember to create a separate curve at the bottom of both arms to create the thumb!

Step 7

Continue drawing your character’s hairline, which should be above the forehead. Next, outline the hair that will go around the entire head of your character.

Of course, you can also customize the hair! You can draw short hair, long curly hair, or any hairstyle.

You can also put your hair up in a ponytail, braid, or other cute hairstyle. This will make your character more unique!

Step 8

Now that we’ve finished drawing your character’s head and body, it’s time to complete the look by drawing your facial features.

Continue drawing two downward curving lines near the forehead to form arched eyebrows. Next, draw a smaller upward curve to make your character smile.

Step 9

Continuing with the eyes, draw two large oval shapes going under each eyebrow to form the pupils.

Then, enclose the shape with an angled line above each oval shape to create your character’s upper eyelids.

Next, draw three more shapes in the pupil:

  • A vertical oval in the center
  • A small circle in the lower-left corner
  • A semi-circle in the upper-right corner

Now blur the entire oval shape we drew in the pupil to add eye tension!

The long-awaited moment is finally here! Coloring is a lot more fun when you have drawn your own character.

This is where you can show off your artistic skills and ability to mix and match colors.

The colors you choose for your character are entirely up to you! But here’s a helpful tip: to create a skin tone color, combine white, yellow, blue, and red. Depending on the complexion you are trying to achieve, you may need to add more than one specific color.

Remember that flesh-toned colors are best achieved using coloring materials that mix relatively quickly, such as watercolor or acrylic paint! Have fun playing with colors, and watch your character finally come to life!
